Seattle City Light Seeking Renewable Energy Projects, RECsSeattle City Light has issued a request for proposals (RFP) for energy and renewable energy credits (RECs) of up to 150 GWh annually, beginning in 2020. The company is purchasing the energy as part of compliance with Washington's renewable portfolio standard (RPS). Seattle City Light says it prefers baseload or dispatchable resources to complement existing resources, which are predominately hydroelectric. The utility says proposals will be evaluated on cost and other factors and must qualify under the state’s RPS. Source: Bloomberg
